Her full name is Mercy Aigbe Gentry , she is one of the biggest meat in Nollywood, she is an actress,a director and businesswoman. She rose from nothing to something becoming one of the most sought after actresses in Nollywood, a director and businesswoman. She dines with bigger and iron ladies in Nigeria Movie Industry as she is now one of the richest Nollywood star as an actress, director and businesswoman .
Mercy Aigbe Gentry was born on the 1st of January, 1979 as a second child in a family of five at Edo State, Nigeria . Mercy Aigbe bagged a degree in Financial Studies where she schooled at the Polytechnic , Ibadan . She only had OND in the polytechnic there after she went on to the University of Lagos in 2001 to obtain a degree in Theater Arts. Her decision to go into acting was her biggest challenge in life because her father was not in support of the idea as he believed nothing good could come out of it . Mercy Aigbe wasn’t happy with her father’s idea but due to the love she had for acting she never gave up her dream career .
Fast forward to year 2016 , she is now one of the richest and top rated actresses in Nigeria . Her acting career started like a joke as she was only acting in soap operas before going into Yoruba movies. She managed to get some movie role from few producers and she was featured in few Yoruba movies and when she started getting more scripts from Yoruba movie producers, she found her calling in the Yoruba movie industry.
Mercy Aigbe is currently married to Lanre Gentry and she was once accused of snatching him form his former wife . We gathered that Lanre Gentry was still married but separated from his first wife when he met the actress. Mercy later revealed that Lanre Gentry was still with his former wife when they started seeing each other but they were already separated . They officially divorce before they tie the knot .
