It is a known fact that Private Universities in Nigeria are very expensive as a result of their elaborated facilities and good environment and the comfortability. Not all parents can afford to send their children to private universities in Nigeria but there are few private universities in Nigeria that a quite affordable to attend which an average man can keep up with it tuition fee.

Resolution has been reached that private schools are the better alternatives to State and Federal Universities. The reason is that most private universities use international standard and they also have a high standard of entry requirements. Those parents that have phobia for government schools resort to cheapest private universities because they can afford it . Attending one of the most expensive private universities in Nigeria today is very demanding and challenging one as a result of their exorbitant tuition fee .

Studying in any Tertiary institution especially Private Universities in Nigeria is highly expensive unlike their federal government university counterpart that is cheaper and affordable . Sometimes, you will understand that Government owned universities in Nigeria are not enough to give admission to all Nigerian school livers who wants to study in any reputable university. This problem gave rise for the need to study in one of the best  private universities that is affordable in Nigeria.

1. Lead City University(Ibadan, Oyo State)

Lead City University is obviously the cheapest private university in Nigeria today. This tertiary institution is located Ibadan, Oyo State — established in the year 2005 with a passion to educate the average people in the country, that is why their tuition is not too expensive.  Lead City University fee ranges from 120,000 t0 450,000 per semester.

After researching on this school, we found out that the  cheapest course to study in Al-Hikmah university is Islamic studies N124,000 while Law is the highest course fee which N750,000.

3. Wellspring University (Benin, Edo state)

One of the cheapest private universities in Nigeria is Wellspring University , a school located in Benin, Edo state, Nigeria. The school was approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in November 2009. Their tuition fee is around N125,750 per semester.

4. Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Ikeji-Arakeji

5. Oduduwa University (Ile-Ife, Osun State)

Oduduwa University is one of the youngest private universities in Nigeria. It was  founded in the year 2009 and named after  the progenitor of the Yoruba race (Oduduwa) . Their tuition fee is around N150,000 and upward. Oduduwa University is located in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.

6.  Obong University (Akwa Ibom State)

This private institution was formally known as University of Africa before it was later changed to Obong University . It is located in  Obong Ntak, Akwa Ibom State and established  in 1997. They charge a tuition fee that ranges from 180,000 to 200,000 .  Obong University is selected as one of the best private institution in Nigeria today and it’s a school where your children’s future is well assured.

7. Adeleke University (Ede, Osun state)

9. Rhema University (Aba, Abia State)

One of the private universities in Nigeria that started from the very scratch is Rhema University. During it inception, they started from nursery, primary, secondary till they upgraded to university level. It was founded in 1987 by Bro Emma Okorie. Their tuition fee is between N300,000 – N400,000.

10. Oduduwa University (Ile-Ife Osun state)

This school is abbreviated as OOU and it is located in Ile-Ife, Osun State, South-West Nigeria.  Oduduwa University was established in 2009 with the soul aim to educate Nigerians to become great people tomorrow. Their tuition fee is affordable and their current V.C is  Prof. (Mrs) Olajumoke A. Olayiwola (Ag).
